The Diphu Medical College and hospital started functioning from 25th November’ 2019. Since then, the department of Community medicine also commenced functioning with nine teaching staff and five other supporting staff.
Community Medicine is an academic subject, a branch of Medicine which deals with promotion of health and prevention of diseases, involving people’s participation, utilizing professional management skills.
The main activities are teaching, research and services to the welfare of the community.
Research Activities - Not yet started.
Academic: Teaching Undergraduate MBBS students.
Services : -Teaching, Research and special health services to the community through the health ( Rural & Urban) centres yet to be started.
